Virtual Research Caves – Spring 2025 🗓

Do you need focused work sessions with the accountability of community support?

Virtual Research Caves (ViRC) are focused working sessions, offered through the CTL for Pratt faculty to support research and writing SoTL work within a community.  VIRCs are scheduled approximately once per month and are structured to enable focused progress on your work, with an added community accountability for your efforts.

If you’ve never attended a ViRC before, here’s what to expect: First, all participants share a bit about what we’re working on, and what we won’t allow ourselves to be distracted by. Then, we go into three “sprints” of deep work, where we keep our cameras off and the CTL keeps time. Between sprints, we do a brief group activity to take a break and share with each other how our progress is going. This low-key event is an opportunity to connect with other faculty members and power through whatever focused work you’ve been delaying on your list of to-do’s! Hope to see you soon!
