Curiosity Hour is an ongoing reflective forum for faculty that creates space to pause and engage ideas in conversation with others. Each session centers on a theme and unfolds through a series of guided prompts that invite participants to explore questions drawn from their teaching, creative practice, and the broader contexts in which they work. Through a balance of individual reflection and shared dialogue, Curiosity Hour emphasizes process over outcome, encouraging openness and the possibility of seeing familiar experiences in new ways. Designed as a low-pressure, exploratory space, these gatherings offer opportunities to connect with colleagues, surface new perspectives, and experience how curiosity can expand how we think, feel, make, and teach.
Eligible part-time faculty qualify for a $75 stipend per session.

Curiosity Hour: The Unfinished invites faculty into a reflective exploration of incompleteness in both creative practice and everyday life. In art, design, and teaching, much of what we do resists neat resolution: projects linger, ideas evolve, and questions remain open. This session creates space to engage with something unfinished as a site of possibility. Through a series of guided reflections and conversation, participants will consider what it means to pause, abandon, return to, or reimagine work that is still in process. Together, we will explore how uncertainty, ambiguity, and incompletion can generate new ways of thinking, making, and relating.
