If you would recommend the Resolutions series to a friend or colleague, what would you tell them about the series?
“I would tell them it’s a great opportunity to start or complete projects that you feel will benefit your students or teaching pedagogy. It’s helpful to have a community that will hold you accountable, encourage creativity, and engage in work caves to support your project’s growth. Everyone was really supportive and I appreciated the space and freedom to work on research that was meaningful to me.”
“The Resolutions series provides a supportive community for developing your faculty project along with checkpoints to clarify your project work plan and encourage your progress. I like the combination of the multiple opportunities to meet with the CTL team and Resolutions participants throughout the semester (for people who really want to take advantage of that community aspect) and the limited minimum synchronous time commitment (just two work-oriented synchronous meetings), so that the series is manageable for people whose schedules or work styles make many meetings unappealing.”
“I would tell them that is a great opportunity to reflect on, adjust, and develop your pedagogical practices. It’s very open-ended so the project you decided to work on is very tailored to your individual needs. That being said, I think having something very concrete in mind to work on, will yield more concrete results.”
