CONNECT-COMMUNICATE-COLLABORATE: A CTL Community Building Experience

Facilitated by Shireen Soliman (Fashion) this supportive faculty exchange will offer participants the opportunity to:

  • Practice Self-Reflection and Centering through personal and collective journal prompts; and,
  • Connect with peers and colleagues, to build trust and empathy, offsetting the “isolation” of the teaching and learning experience.

Participants will engage with insightful resources, art and writing-based activities, show-and-tell “micro-presentations” and various other multimodal activities to support teaching and learning while fostering community. Participants can choose to engage with synchronous and asynchronous activities, totaling about 60 minutes each week, for a total of 7 hours/semester, to ensure involvement feels realistic and accessible for all.

Please fill out this form by Tuesday, September 10 to express interest. The kickoff meeting will happen the week of September 16 (based on how participants respond to their availability). There is room for approximately 10 participants for this semester’s cohort. Eligible part-time faculty who participate in the full program will qualify for a $600 stipend.
