The New Inclusive Classroom Book Club – Fall 2024 🗓

This fall, we will be meeting weekly to discuss the book, The New College Classroom by C Davidson and Ch. Katopodis during this 3-session series. The New College Classroom is a guide to college teaching which begins to grapple with the way higher education has changed for the better. It covers new practices that could accompany these changes in order to serve professors and students better. Eligible part-time faculty (FA24) qualify for a $250 stipend for attending all 3 sessions. This text includes information about “What the latest science of learning tells us about inspiring, effective, and inclusive teaching at the college level” covering topics such as “Structuring Active Learning,” “Democratic and Antiracist Pedagogy,” “Group Work without the Groans,” and more.

Meeting dates: Mondays September 9, September 16, & September 30th from 3-4pm
