Faculty Spotlight: Claire Donato

Claire Donato (Adjunct Associate Professor, Writing Program; Distinguished Teacher Award 2020) will discuss the pedagogical significance of deep listening and the implementation of periods of shared silence in her Poetry & Psychoanalysis and The Oceanic Feeling courses. This conversation will be informed by Donato’s ongoing Zen meditation practice, which was supported in 2020 by a Pratt Research Seed Grant. Donato will be joined by several of her students.
